Lawren Harris
This is a booklet dedicated to one of the Group of Seven members, Lawren Harris. I’ve always looked up to Lawren Harris’ work when I studied visual arts in high school and still do today. The layout design of the booklet is meant to reflect his later career style: minimal and abstract that is created by simple forms and palette of blues, greys and white. The artworks are the main focus of the booklet, as that’s why they take up most of the spreads. This lets the reader to appreciate Harris’ work as a notable Canadian artist that helped in making Canada a prominent country in the art world.
